Ruby-Horsethief is a 25 mile run from Loma, CO to Westwater, UT. It is a mellow overnight trip that consists of almost all Class I and some Class II. There are powerful eddies that can cause problems for small water craft in the Black Rock section of the trip. The Black Rock is Vishnu schist which is around 1.7 billion years old.
