Glenwood Springs is a hub for a wide variety of hikes some of which are quite popular. For most the Hanging Lake trail will be the most rewarding, however during the summer season it is usually crowded and parking can be difficult. Leaving a vehicle at one of the adjacent rest areas and biking to the trailhead is always a good option.
