Disc golfing a.k.a Frisbee golfing is a great activity that is cheap, easy to learn and hard to master. Courses are generally in the 2-2.5 mile walking range over 18 holes all being par 3. There are of course exceptions to that rule.
The basics for playing are a driver, mid-range and putter disc. There is quite a variety of discs each with different flight characteristics, weights and types of plastic as well as colors.
Courses local to Glenwood Springs are located at the Colorado Mountain College Spring Valley campus and in New Castle along the south side of the Colorado River.
