The stretch of river from Pumphouse to Radium is a fun Class II-III section. It is 4.5 miles and most of the rapids occur in a narrow canyon near the start of the run. Needle’s Eye Rapid is the only thing to watch out for and the reason for the Class III designation as it can generate a couple large holes at 4000+ cfs.
